During this course, participants will learn about current proposals in Congress and by presidential candidates to implement a single-payer government-run healthcare system. Participants will learn the nuances of these proposals and how they could affect coverage for individual, employer-based, and existing government-run plans. The session will also explore key considerations of comparative healthcare systems, such as financing, pricing structures, role of voluntary/supplemental insurance, specialty care and wait times.
