February Meeting: OAHU Legislative Update on Senate Bills 265 & 227 (1-CE)

February’s monthly meeting will be a Legislative Update presented by John McGough, OAHU Lobbyist and Kevin Conrad, Past President of CAHU. This 1-CE program will be focused on two Ohio Senate Bills:

• S.B. 265 (Enacted) – which requires health plans to make disclosures regarding step therapy protocols and imposes requirements regarding requesting and receiving exemptions to step therapy

• S.B. 227 – which requires health insurers to make claims data available, thereby allowing employers to be better equipped to shop plans and provide the best coverage possible.
