Three Learning Objectives of the Presentation:       
Learning objective #1: Understand the eligibility and entitlement factors for the retirement, spousal and Medicare benefits including the differences between Social Security Disability and SSI and other SSA benefits, such as work basis and age requirements.
Learning objective #2:  Gain awareness of application process and entitlement factors.
Learning objective #3: Become better prepared to explain Social Security benefits and field office requests to assist clients and beneficiaries.

Speaker: Robert Fenn, Public Affairs Specialist, Social Security Administration
Robert Fenn, an Elyria, OH native, has been with the Social Security Administration since September 1999. Robert assisted the public as a Service Representative till his promotion in 2006 as Claims Representative in Canton, OH. In this position, Robert specialized in Retirement, Survivors, Disability and Medicare Insurance benefits. Robert was promoted to Public Affairs Specialist, June 2008 for the Downtown Akron Social Security office. Robert’s outreach, media relations, and public presentations cover the Stark, Summit, Mahoning, Medina, Richland, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and  Wayne Counties.  Robert was previously employed with the temporary staffing agency of Robert Half International. Robert is married with two adult daughters who continually remind him “empty nest” is a misconception.  Robert majored in Interpersonal and Public Communications at the University of Akron BA-Interpersonal and Group Communications.
