The purpose of the Kenneth Hall Scholarship is to provide funding for a first-time attendee for the annual National Association of Health Underwriters (“NAHU”) Capitol Conference. Funding will include the conference fee up to the early bird registration amount, travel expense to and from the conference (certain limits apply), and ½ of the hotel expense consistent with the Northwest Ohio Health Underwriter’s (“NWOAHU”) Reimbursement Policy.
In recognition of Kenneth Hall, long-time member and activist for the NAHU mission, we believe that once an individual has experienced the annual NAHU Capitol Conference, that individual gains a better understanding of who we are, what we do and why, and most importantly, takes an active interest in activities of NAHU.
Ken Hall had a passion for the insurance industry and believed in doing what was right for his customer and the industry he loved. Ken studied his craft and to his dying day he could tell you about the ACA or anything about the financial or life insurance industry. He was as loyal to the insurance industry as he was devoted to his wife and family.
All submissions must be received by the NWOAHU President for review by the Executive Board. At least one award will be made annually; however, more than one may be permitted based on merit and funds available.
The 2014 NAHU Capitol Conference will be held February 23-25, 2015 in Washington, DC. All applications must be received no later than Friday, December 12, 2014.
