An active OAHU Legislative Committee that develops proactive strategies to protect our free market health insurance system and the important role the agent plays in the process

OAHU members that make the effort to get to know their state legislators so that they are in a position to effectively advocate on behalf of OAHU

OAHU lobbyists who understand how to impact the legislative process and who are effective advocates for OAHU positions

A healthy and well-funded OAHU Political Action Committee

As you are well aware, the agent community has a lot at stake as broad health care reforms are being debated at both the state and national levels. Some groups are even challenging the agent’s role in the health insurance delivery process.

This is no time to sit on the sidelines and “hope” things turn out alright. With health care as one of the most heavily lobbied areas, this is a critical time that OAHU PAC has the financial resources to compete effectively against the interest groups that are trying to destroy our very livelihood. If every OAHU member does their part by making a contribution to OAHU PAC we have a much better chance of protecting your role in delivering cost-effective health insurance to consumers. Your OAHU PAC contribution helps open doors and encourages conversations with key legislators and agency leaders giving OAHU the opportunity to provide critical information and expertise to decision makers.

All OAHU PAC moneys are spent to promote and support candidates that are supportive of OAHU’s stated goals: promoting free-market health insurance and the value of the professional agent.

How Can You Contribute to OAHU PAC?

A lump sum contribution by personal check or personal credit card.

Monthly contributions through your personal checking account or personal credit card.

Corporate contributions are prohibited; however, sole proprietors, LLCs and partnerships may contribute.

Become a Capitol Club Member

Giving at the Capitol Club level means a contribution of $300 or more per year through a lump sum or monthly (at least $25/month) contribution. There are currently 36 Capitol Club contributors helping to lead our efforts but more participants are needed.

The most important thing is to make a contribution to OAHU PAC today! Any contribution amount is encouraged and appreciated.
